The project for the Traço de Tinto book. represents an exercise of intention and narrative proposal in projecting a script through texts, images and sketches at Adega da Quinta do Portal. Architectural work by Álvaro Siza Vieira. " The wine-cellar Quinta do Portal is part of a previously constructed complex. An agricultural unit that dominates and is dominated by the landscape - vineyard out of sight. It is indisputable that in essence and when it is active agriculture is the landscape. That is the number one reason for Douro’s beauty. A cellar is by nature a "disciplined” building. Its expression is determined by its own functional, spatial and thermal needs. It rises isolated in space: discipline extended to the territory.
